Individual counselling

Counselling offers a place to make sense of your experiences and reconnect with yourself. It is a chance to sit with someone completely neutral in a non-judgemental space to explore what is going on for you. Most clients come in a time of personal challenge, and find by engaging with therapy they make sense of their patterns, understand themselves more deeply, and relate to themselves and others in a way that feels more grounded, honest, and manageable.

I offer talk therapy sessions face-to-face in private, comfy and confidential therapy rooms in both Faversham and Rochester, Kent. I also offer online video sessions if that is your preference. Most clients start with weekly, 50-minute therapy sessions. As for the number of sessions, we would discuss your needs when we chat.

Who I work with

I work with adult individuals (18+) from all sorts of backgrounds, ethnicities and walks of life. Many of my clients want to talk about things they are struggling with, whether it be relationships, anxiety and depression, overwhelm, or significant life events or transitions. Some people have a mental health diagnosis, and others do not.

You may recognise yourself in some of these experiences:

  • You find yourself overthinking relationships, second-guessing yourself, or staying in dynamics that don’t feel healthy for you

  • You tend to put others first and struggle to know where you end and others begin

  • You experience strong self-criticism, perfectionism, or a constant sense that you’re not doing enough

  • You feel burnt out from trying to cope or keep up with expectations (your own or other people’s)

  • You notice patterns in your relationships that repeat, even when you want things to change

  • You feel emotionally stuck - anxious, low, irritable, or numb - without always knowing why

  • You are navigating change, loss, or a life transition and feel unsure of where you are going

  • You are dissatisfied with the amount you use your phone, or think you might be experiencing phone addiction and would like to be in charge of your time again

  • You are struggling with compulsive sexual behaviours or pornography use and feel caught in cycles of shame and trying to stop

  • You are in addiction recovery and want space to understand your story beyond just behaviour change
